As the preview is just around the corner, it drove the BPYs into panic mode.
Just lastnight, we managed to finalise the dance steps for our grand finale with the cooperation of all BPYs! Hooooray! We have barely any steps just the night before and having to confirm on the formation and the steps was a huge achievement. As we became more confident of the steps, our spirits came alive once again and we were eager to master the dance when the dance teachers signaled for another run-through.
Rifin was up on the chair in front of us, making sure that our formation was solid and justified necessary changes with the teachers. His assistant, Wan, gave suggestions while checking the formation and making trips between the dance arena and the chair Rifin was standing on.
Brief motivational speeches were exchanged to spur everyone into motion. We are currently rushing the designs of our posters for our exhibition on the preview day. Exhibition members were being reminded of their tasks and today, all of our work will be coming together and hopefully, be completed!
I just got a text message today from Manis. Our B1 attire are ready and the female BPYs are called in for a fitting session.
GZul who is running the Sponsorship Committee visited some potential sponsors today together with Wan, Nabil and Daphne. We’ve even got a call from Rakbiah Construction who was so sincere in offering his help to us and with direct quote, “Kitani Anak Brunei dan kami ani maukan tolong”. We were all touched by his words!
Sullivans have sponsored us some canned food items and more will be coming from them.
On Friday, some of the BPYs will be going to several landmarks in Brunei to do video clips of traditional games.
On Saturday, Naj will be getting the BPYs to congregate at the Brunei National Museum for some hands-on session on Brunei’s traditional games.
Also, on Friday night, our last practice before our orientation on Sunday, our rehearsals would be full-on with the backdrops ready. We will be working on the backdrop tonight.. WWEEEEEEEE!
Name cards are yet to be done as we are currently waiting for designs to come up. We have seen several samples and no doubt, the BPY07 has brilliant designs. We are nowhere near finishing these.
All in all, I cannot express how much the BPYs are overjoyed as our hardwork and efforts are finally materialising! BPYs, good job! Gambatte Kudasai!
