Today at 8.30am, we (BPYs and volunteers) gathered at Pusat Belia for a discussion. JBS was interested to hear the opinions and ideas of the youth in promoting Pusat Belia as a youth community centre. Recent renovation work and upgrades of equipment (computer rooms, renovated pool, conference and meeting rooms, kitchens, accommodation, etc) have been carried out to provide better facilities not only to hostel dwellers, but also to youth groups, clubs and schools to run their activities, all in the name of youth development.
We were put in groups of about ten people, a mixture of BPYs of different batches as well as volunteers, to brainstorm ideas for the said objective. By the end of the discussion, representatives from each group came forth to present a summary of their discussion.
